Hierarchy

1 comment:

  1. The first step with any exercise is to read the text and separate it into different categories. You've done this to an extent, but what is the difference between 'Serious Assault' and 'Lynda Spence'? They do not fall into the same category, so they shouldn't be treated the same even if they were in the original text. As the designer, you must make decisions about hierarchy that are consistent and logical.

Your hierarchy, although it uses different sizes/fonts/alignments is more or less identical in each composition. Play around a bit more with this and think more logically about it - for example, nowhere do you tell us what we're looking at and do you need to repeat 2011 over and over? PLUS, if one item doesn't have the same kind of info (eg Lynda Spence), why include it?
